Sorry to hear that McLuvin.  Fax it too, just to be sure (Email + Fax + Post should just about cover all your bases).

It looks like this is yet another delaying tactic of the AINP, what a sad state of things.

All we can do is stay positive.  It will all be worth it in the end.

Cheers,

I think AINP is resorting to USCIS measures for delaying things. I applied in Dec'08 and got file # in March'09. Till date nothing.

I talked to AINP and was told to wait until 10 months are over. AINP is the new provincial USCIS. File #s after me have got nominations. It has been 2 months since I hear any nomination for people on this forum and also amng 4 friends who I know applied in January and are not on this forum.

My friend called them 2 months back. They told him decision has been made on file and it has been 2 months since then. They have been siting on nomination like a hen sitting on egg for 2 months and just not mailing it...on top of that they are busy distributing file #s....  their pathetic working is reaching USCIS levels....

You can get Canadian number for the magicjack and set up call forward to your US phone number.

http://themagicjack.ca/

Call forwarding from magicjack is a free service and I do that all the time. The only exception is that I have US number for my magicjack.

Please do not do these things. This won't make any difference but may create a new pattern so every applicant from US will be treated as a person who need sponsorship for work permit or PNP and calling employers from a Calgary/Edmonton phone number. US has thousands of unemployed H1B visa holders who are looking for job in Alberta. Better if keep game clear from starting. Focus more on technical skills and specific tool need. I remember that Cognos was in high demand 1 year back and even some staffing agencies were considering applicants from US.

and who asked you for an opinion??? AG/AC/AR/CM?

It seems they are delaying the AINP process to take off load from the CIC Process!!
as The very next step after nomination is to join the race for the PR....

AINP is just another feed for PR applicants, so by controlling the state nomination feeds they can control work load or traffic for PR. and eventually controlling immigrants from US (& others countries) who are looking Canada as safe heaven in this economic times.

You don't need to tell a dog when to bark.

And obviously from the barking you can tell that the dog is around.

I agree with the above guy,
Please dont use offensive language and keep the conversation pertinent to immigration issues.
For any personal issues and anxiety/anger toward other people, use counseling, or seek help elsewhere.
