Then she asked me for my file number and had limited access to my case, but all she could tell is my case is being worked on and no decission taken yet.
u got file # on 3/20....and decision still not made. usually people receive nomination 1 month after decision. so, even if they make decision today - u wont get nomination in mail by August 28 which is horrible. This means 5 months after file# even in best case scenario. why dont they make things clear and post some new time line on their website.

Looking at this forum, it seems like Ainp has been issuing file#s left and right since May and have already exhausted the 1xxx , 3xxx series and 4xxx series. (While the 2xxx remained a mystery as we all know). We will soon be seeing the 5xxx series of file# at this rate with no nominations issued. Someone in there needs to fix something, even if its just the update on the Ainp website. It doesnt make much sense otherwise, giving away file#s (after torture of 6 months and 2k for many of us) if they dont plan on issuing nominations.

I have lost hope with the AINP process. First they said 40 to 60 days to take a decision, then they revised it and said 4 months after pre-assessment. Many applicants have already passed this timeline including me. I am still surprised that they have this program open and accepting applications.

My Frnd Oily, Did u get your file number Anoop
i applied in March 4th week..i didnt get anything till date. i dont know why they are leaving out march applicants. my friend applied in May and got file #. another of my friend applied in December 08, went thru pre-assesment, then fully applied in January 09, got file# on 3/19 and he hasnt got nomination till date. AINP seems to be run by a bunch of crack administrators. Good employees cant help if the administrators/managers dont know how to run the program...

Wow Finally This March applicatnt just got something from AINP right now: AINP rcvd application 3rd March 09 NOC 2133 Electrical Engineer, under New Process. Just rcved file number, They didnt call out anything about nomination like 40-60 day from now. Although I sent my application on 3rd march..they say in the e-mail that they acknowledged this on todays date. I am a little confused here .Does it mean that my nomination time 4 month count down starts today or It is 8 months from now? here is what i rcved... Thank you for applying to the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). This is to confirm receipt of the AINP application for the abovementioned on July 28, 2009. Please visit http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html for our most current processing times. Good luck to all

VSRao,
There is this guy Mr. Shah who has recently joined our company and he had applied for the AINP under H1B in March under 2171 and is waiting on his file number. Not sure on what date he sent the application but he says it could be 1st or 2nd week. Please add him to your list.
He was not aware of this forum. This means there are applicants AINP who are not on the forum.

Since I applied for AINP I have received 2 emails from candian immigration lawyers with File # in the subject line. That surprises me as how did they get my email address? how did they know my intent for canada? now is this canadian nomination thing ran like a desi consultants? all this just irks me.

I have got few such after I had attended a seminar held by some consulting firm in 2000. Had you ever tried to evaluate your points for FSW which was linked from a immigration consultant site ? That could be the cause.

You have mentioned 6/28/2009 in VSRAO's database, can you please correct it to 07/28/2009, because of that the total numbers taken for getting the file number is wrong.
Thanks

u got file # on 3/20....and decision still not made. usually people receive nomination 1 month after decision. so, even if they make decision today - u wont get nomination in mail by August 28 which is horrible. This means 5 months after file# even in best case scenario. why dont they make things clear and post some new time line on their website. I think processing times mentioned in their website dont include transit times/postal delays etc.. I got file number exactly on the last day of fourth month..so i think they are still trying to meet those processing times..

I too got some emails and mail from lawyers. That was after I had applied for a Canadian Tourist visa. It was shared by Canadian consulate. From one of those solicitations, I came to know about this AINP program. Thanks
