Guys,

Here's the hot news ,I spoke to the AINP rep in Alberta yesterday and she informed me that AINP programme has be scrapped. All the applicants who have send their application after May 1st are at mercy of Officer reviewing the file to either grant a file # or not . If in case you have not received the file # in cronological order of date they received the application then pray god or else try some for other options.

All the best.

although this news seems to be a lie, but i wont be much surprised if that happens..right now also it is almost close to scrapped..december 2008 pre-assesed guys are waiting for decision - Fast track.

May be it was fast track way to get application and not issue nomination.

This was started in 2008, much before the turn down surfaced. It was started in good intentions, but they are having to face the realities as well. However I think they are planning beyond the slump. They will probably give many of us the nominations, and slow down the PR process as well. So in this way they will get us into Canada in about a year or more from now, when the economy recovers better. Hey, they do have a plan...

I agree, they don't want new comers to Canada when the economy is already ailing, but once the signs of true recovery are visible, this might truly stand out as a fast track process compared to other streams. That might be one of the reason they don't have any caps or limits on applications or nominations.

If the program has been scrapped the first thing they would do is take the program out of their website. that didn't happen.

I guess with so much anxiety and frustration on this forum some ppl are having fun posting rumors.

I see lot of ppl using this forum as  a crystal ball putting questions like " this is my info, tell me when will i get my nomination"

I am worried for those guys

I think we should wait till the complete 8 months(for nominations) from the time they received our application. If we don't get any status update even after 8 months, then a call to AINP is necessary. Also for file number it would be appropriate to call after 4 months. Until they post something on the website let us not assume any negative things about AINP.There would be situations in which nominations could be sent in less than 8 months and file number less than 4 months and there also would be some people who will not get their file numbers or nominations even after 4 or 8 months. It will vary case by case. The most important thing right now would be patience. Remember AINP is still faster than GC in USA.
