Looks like I may have to go back to my home country and do farming. I just found out today that my company might not extend a lot of our contracts due to strained budget. Hopefully my company gives me 60 day notice. I don't know how this is going to impact my AINP process. Hopefully I just had to be in status during the time of application as my application reached Alberta on Feb 17th well before feb 19th when the new rule was implemented

Worst case - You can still continue the CIC process from your home country. Hopefully you might not have to do that if things get better out here in the US.

It looks like alberta is giving us a silk thread to pull us from the water. Almost nobody can be saved.

Although it is besides the point here, there are other countries which have come up with Green Card schemes. For example, Denmark has a scheme although it is not a green card in strict sense; http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/coming_to_dk/work/greencard-scheme/greencard-scheme.htm And UK Tier 1, probably easiest/fastest if one has enough points.

How different is the thread that US is giving us while in GC process I am sure that the wait will be much lesser.

Hi i have sent my documents to Alberta PNP (h1b) in APRIL 2009 and i have recieved my file number in JUNE 18 2009. Does this mean that my pre-assesment is completed? The next thing what i expect is PNP Certificate? Approx. how much time it may take to get PNP Certificate after getting file number?

Suprisingly lots of new folks showing up now saying that they have submitted application months ago and now suddenly in July they are getting filenumber/nominations.
Good that we are getting more information to share on the forum. But the other side is we dont know who to trust and who not to.

Sava, You too will get the file number. Don't worry. It is just a matter of time. AINP is kind of random and you know that very well. I don't know what the criteria or pattern is for issuing the file number as I see a lot of March applicants didn't get their file numbers. Maybe there're processed in a different office.
