They have been consistant right from the begining that there is no CAP on the nominations. But again they are controlling the numbers by slowing down the nomination process (increasing the timeline). Effectively this controls the number of applications processed. By doing this they do not lose out on valuable applications. Just my two cents.

Yes looks like they are slowing down the issuance of nominations so that immigrants don't flood the Alberta job market and end up doing labour jobs or in worst case scenario don't even get one. Hopefully the world economy starts recovering and everything returns back to normal!!!!!

Exactly, and that is why couple of weeks ago they sent out an email saying that they will expediate the process if you already have a job offer in the NOC you have applied the nomination.

Hi,
My NOC# 2173 and I have only Job Offer Letter, I don't have any job description or detail letter. I am planning to send only this letter. I hope AINP won't ask me for anything else. Plz advise me.
Hi Ambitious07, I sent you a PM. Check your inbox. Link is on the top right.

Heads up to all those who will need H1B extension before the AINP & CIC process completes. I have the following news from my attorney.
Effective June 30, 2009, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is using an online system, known as iCert, for submitting and certifying H1B Labor Condition Applications (LCAs). With this new system, we cannot expect instantaneous certifications of the LCAs like we did under the “old” system. The regulations allow the DOL up to seven (7) business days to certify the LCA, once submitted. While the DOL intends to be mindful of the regulatory requirement, the DOL is not under any obligation to adjudicate LCAs with any issues or errors within the seven (7) business day timeline. This change in procedure means that we can no longer expect the H1B petitions to be prepared and filed on a very fast, short-notice basis.
Therefore, it is now more important than ever that you engage in advance planning, whenever possible, as the delay in LCA certification will play a significant role in continuing one's H1B status.

Thats kind of misleading...As per the Alberta immigraion site, Employer assessments will take up to 6months. We will have to wait and see some one (H1B SRS) with Job offer gets nomination quicker than any?
