I think 1 year is being a bit optimistic. Looking at trend 2 years seems more realisitic LOL!!!!

Can anybody send them suggestion to charge 550 CAD fees for AINP process but nominate candidate within 10-15 days? So the term "Fast track Strategic recruitment" could be really suitable for this program?

Nothing has changed on the AINP website that suggest delay in processing.

http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html

Lets keep fingers crossed until the end of the month. I was told that those who received file numbers in March should get the nomination by end of July or early August.

That is understandable.
Not sure why the April or May guys are getting file numbers first than March guys though.

To be more specific, I am talking about the old pre-assesment process. There are applicants who have received the file numbers in March.

But your point is valid and concerning as to why the file numbers are not based on the application received. At this time we can just wait until the end of the month and see if there is some movement on the preassesed applications that have received the file numbers.

Yes I guess the only thing that applicants who got file numbers in March can do is wait (Old Process Pre-assessment). Hopefully we start getting nomination end of this month

Just talked to someone in Alberta immigration department. I explained it to that person that I applied in Jan & got file number in March and was really hoping to get the nomination by end of July before this shocking email of premium processing appeared in my Inbox. I told that person that I have also initiated the PCC few days back. So that person explained that there is no impact to any application by recent email communication as it's just that they are asking all candidates to provide info if they have found any employer in Alberta so that their case can be expedited to get them work permit also in parallel.

That person also briefly told me that there may be some delay (instead of 4 months) but it will not be that much as the department has promised to Minister of Alberta to clear most of the cases by September.

Hoping for the best.

Wow, that's a good news! (but it sounds like they are going to shut down this program...)

So AINP is issuing file numbers to Apr applicants before Mar ones, based on the idea "Everyone is gonna get nomination by Sep anyway, so who cares who receives file number/nomination first?"
