Can anyone in the forum let me know how much time does it take to get PCC from FBI. The website states 3 to 4 weeks. Is this still the case
That's true but more often then not it take a week and a half.

Alright guys,
looks like my Albertan dream is over. As some experienced guys on this forum know that I am laid off from work. Today I got a call from AINP lady. She told me to send job responsibility letter since what I have sent already was not enough (I sent a general job description from HR website - I didn't want to tell my boss that i am applying for canadian immigration)
When i was laid off my boss gave me a letter on A4 paper with all his contact info and description of my job duties. Disadvantage of working for Fortune 50 companies - these son of bit*hes dont let you use letter heads. Letterheads are not even available around so that i could steal them and print something on them. Also, My H1B LC application donot have job description - unfortunate me.
Long story short, AINP lady asked for letterhead letter and I said it was company policy not to give one. The discussion was polite but she was seemingly p*ssed off. I emailed her whatever I had. God knows what happens next.
I hope I was working for a small company where all this crap was easy to handle. On top of that I am not even employed to again bug HR for any such letter.
Good luck to all you guys!! Hope sharing this bad experience help some of you guys in future.
Mike053: Why these son of bitc*hes don't let you use letterhead? Were you placed by a Direct placement Agency or campus hire?

Nobody in my department ever saw a letter head and HR is at some off site center answering the phone in a BS manner saying that using letterhead for any personal thing is not allowed. anyways, I have explained situation to AINP lady - who was very irritated by my reply - and let's see what they send me in mail next month....

If i were u this is what I would have done
made a letterhead with the company name and a letter and get some one to sign it - If u have not seen the company letter head the alberta lady has also not seen it.... they ask all these because thats part of the processing steps.. if u would have created a letter and faxed it ... the story would have ended there.
and i am sure they would not be calling managers and supervisors to confirm abt all these

actually some of 6xx also... One of those who received File Number (April applicant) said that the email from AINP had mentioned "40-60 days" (for nomination, hopefully). I'm really hoping someone is going to post the content of the email from AINP... Here's the post: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/srs-h1b-ainptracking-application-sent-from-1st-april-15th-april-t17355.0.html;msg102447#msg102447

I am not sure about the 40 to 60 day time that AINP stated. AINP stated the same 40 to 60 day time frame to folks who got their file numbers in Feb and March but still a lot of them have not got their nominations

Here is the content of the email my contact had received.... ".... Please visit http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html for our most current processing times. During our assessment of your application you will only be contacted by a Program Officer if we require additional information. Please do not call to inquire about the status of your application as this will increase our processing times. If you wish to add additional information to your application or change information already submitted you may mail or fax the information to: Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program Suite 940, Telus Plaza North Tower 10025 Jasper Avenue Edmonton, Alberta T5J 1S6 Canada Fax: (780) 427-6560 "
