H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

Yes, that was my observation too. And also note that File numbers for people under new process  was given after they gave file numbers to pre-assessment folks under old process (mine is the example)  

The order of issuing nomination certificate seems to be consistent with the order of issuing file number. I can see that they are now issuing nomination to those who received their file numbers in Feb (and no one received file number in Feb under new process as long as we know). We probably need to see how the ones with Mar ana Apr file numbers will be processed in order to see the pattern of process priority.

And this was my concern which I pointed out in one of my earlier posts....While some of us had already sent in our applications in Jan 2009, there were still folks under old process who submitted their application in March 09 and they will be given preference for all purpose...but anyway I thought that will be fair too because old process folks would have started the pre assessment process way back in Nov/Dec 2008.

And here is the sequence followed by AINP (more or less)

1) First preference to old process. Within that they followed the appln recd date to allocate file numbers.

2) Once old process was completed...they started issuing file numbers to new process applicants in the order they received the application.

3) So for nomination it would make more sense to follow the order of file nomination date and file number.

Does anyone know what happened to these people from old process ? If  I remember correct they don't have their file numbers yet. Wondering if anything went wrong with their applications or they are still waiting ???

Any update from these users themselves will definitely be useful to others...hope they are still active in this forum and reading this :)

Dear Sava:

Trend Analysis is useful only where there is a trend. On one side where you see the people who send application in 2nd week of Jan were nominated and AFTER those were nominated who send application in Mid Dec 2008! As far as pre-assessment is concerned, It was applied in all Dec-Jan applications so regardless of reciept order, It is imperative that Pre assessment folks are being nominated.

Hello Friends
 I am requesting all of you, whom they are getting file number or nomination please  just mention their  NOC's so that whom ever applied they will get a clear picture how the process is going as I saw couple of them getting early file numbers who of them applied by new process and mine  appled in Dec,i got invitation on feb 9th and the Alberta received documents on March 17th.Till now i haven't received any file number or nomination as my NOC is 2171.

After providing  file number how long they are taking a decision to provide nomination certificate.

If they have mentioned in the e-mail that processing time is 8 months then AINP will take close to 8 months. However for all applicants who received file number in March or prior to that AINP is trying to issue nominations in 40 to 60 day time period as mentioned by them

Comrades: If i understood correctly, nothing (Police Clearance etc) needs to be done till we get the Nomination letter right? or should we start PCC etc once we get the File#? Sorry for this NOVICE question:(

When you are applying for PCCs just check the timeline, which keeps changing often. It takes about a month to collect all PCCs. So if you want to get ahead, apply for PCCs just 1 month before your are expecting your nomination letter.

Any state where you have resided more than six month, you need PCC from there. I assume as an H1B worker you must have lived in one or more of these states:

Any state where you have resided over six month you need PCC from there. Follow the weblinks and if something really complicated then find telephone numbers and ask specific forms and process. In addition to these state police certificates you also need an FBI fingerprint check. Just go to a fingerprinting agency or nearest police station and have your finger prints on Card and mail card with 18$ fees draft/MO in favor of "US Treasury" and mail to:

Thanks again. I did stay in TX and VA. I appreciate your detailed email regarding PCC. I was under the impression that just FBI finger print check is all that needs to be done. Wow....looks like this process by itself will take some time.

Are you done with all the PCC's? Good luck if you are in the middle of getting it done.
