Sad but true, AINP no longer looks like a lucrative option. Governer, what about people who got file numbers in March, when can they expect their nomination? look a ell.bee's post................August is the new time for people who got file numbers in March... :-(

But still It will be a option for lot of others because once your are nominated then Buffalo Will take 3 month to AOR and further 3 months to stamp. The only issue is 8 months of Nomination process so apply and go back just make sure you have paystub while you Apply. AINP will send nomination certificate at Home Country address.

Sad but true, AINP no longer looks like a lucrative option. AINP seemed to be the "only" option for someone like me who has no relatives in Canada, no job offer in Canada, and occupation not included in the FSW list. How many of you would have honestly considered AINP, had the US economy not tanked, CIS was not clamping down on desi sweatshops, and everybody was still getting their EB2's on their cough cough "embellished" experiences? Count your blessings that the AINP option is still available, especially in this economy. If anybody gets laid off in the meanwhile - too bad, but it's not Alberta's fault. I understand the frustration. All I can say is be patient, keep the faith, and play the hand you've been dealt.

Don't you think USCIS is rejecting left and right?

Again, not Alberta's fault. In my opinion, it is not like CIS is rejecting left and right. More like, CIS not rejecting enough when desi sweatshops were applying left and right over the past several years - for non-existent jobs, using fake resumes containing fake experiences! Now these people are getting bitten on their collective behinds. If your history is clean, your application will not get rejected. To date, I have filed for 1 fresh H1, 2 transfers, 1 extension, and have never had any problems. My company is getting ready to file for another extension (7th year) and I consider it to be more like a formality. I have never received any queries, and it shouldn't be any different this time also (knock on wood), since "everything" is clean. All those who took a conscious decision to not join the Hyd'badi frenzy, and were content with being honest as far as H1 is concerned, are sleeping peacefully today. To be clear, my angst is not against my fellow H1 brethren, but against these "consulting companies" that created all this muck, and CIS for letting them

I just received my nomination letter. Appln Recd File # File # recd Pre? Who Nomn recd 01/14/08 653 02/11/09 Y tan Recd Nom on May 4, 2009 letter dated March 26,2009 I emailed AINP my pre Assesment back in 11/11/08 despoimmigrant and 6sigmaMBB, Can you guys please confirm with me the date noted on on your nomination letter and the certificate expiry date? I am wondering why it takes them 1 month to send my letter? The letter was dated March 26, 2009 but the mail is postmarked April 26, 2009. I am not trying to be picky, I am just worried because getting PCC from my Home Country might take quite a while. Is there an option of filling to Buffalo without the Home Country PCC? I can process TX and FBI PCC, however Home Country PCC might be chalengging since one source told me that I have to come in person to my Hometown. Thanks, Tan Sorted by File # recd date... Folks, please see the pattern for file # recd date. File #s were given to pre-assessment folks ahead of new process cases (at least to the level possible). And certificates appear to be coming in that order too.

Try the consulate/embassy in the US. Also, ask your family to personally go to the police at your home town and get the process, instead of believing your "source".

Tan,
I did sent all the required CIC documents to Buffalo on March 30, 2009 without the Home country PCC and it worked out fine for me. Finally, I sent my Home country PCC on April 24, 2009.

Hi there, I got a email from Alberta with a subject of " Important Information From the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program" and the email provides information on what to do if you are an AINP nominee and you need to renew your work permit with your current Alberta employer, or to obtain a work permit to start work with a new Alberta employer.
The Document called us as a "Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) Nominee" and it came on MAY 2nd but we havent recived our nomination letter yet.... The question is should i call them now and as them about it. because in between i change my apartment and post them the new address. So i m little confused what should i do coz i dont want to call them as i think it will slow the case????Seniors comments would be really helpful. Thanks

rabzee,
imo, your application has been approved, they have just not mailed it out to you, yet. if you are able to continue getting mail from your existing address, you might want to just wait for it. if not, send them an e-mail, or fax, or call them and inform about your change in address. this should not slow the case. people are not encouraged to keep on calling them for status. your's is a valid reason.
