I don't think I've seen anyone who sent docs in December under the new process get a file number yet. So I think folks who went thru the pre-assessment and sent docs in Dec/Jan are being given priority.

Is anybody out there applied after Jan 5th, 20009 got their file number? or can you please post your timeline?

I sent my application Jan15 and haven't got any file number yet.

As I have mentioned several times before that AINP recieved my packet on Dec 31st 2008 .... Its Feb 09, still haven't got my file #. Just wanted to confirm if anyone who sent their docs after me and have recieved their file number already??
Don't worry, somebody also sent his packet in December & received his certificate on 02/09/09 without receiving the file#

Seriously, if that's the case I don't mind waiting at all (like if I do mind, its actually going to mean anything to AINP...). But still thats a good news and this also means different individuals at AINP have different approach towards processing our files (e.g. sending file # is not a standard procedure). So I guess I better hope that the Officer is in a really good mood and having a nice cup of French vanilla cappuccino, while reviewing my file.... Smiley

Did you went through pre-assesment also? I went through pre-assesment in december and got application packet in january and sent it back on jan 15th.

So, we are people whose application is using old system(pre-assesment) but sent the application after new rule came in.

Based on the recent posts from others,  my guess is your cases will be treated on priority over cases like mine (folks who sent forms directly in December, based on new process). Best of luck!

Manny,

When did you send your appln? You say that you sent it in Dec without pre-assesment. Can you pls give the exact date when you sent, we can have that as a bookmark that they have started processing appln without pre-assesment. TIA

I also did not do any pre-assesment, so why would my case be a priority over you. I think we both are in the same boat. Can you clarify- do you mean they are processing apps that went through pre-assesment first?

I think you meant to say that to Manny and not me.

I sent email with pre-assessment form and got back email in a couple of days asking me to submit all forms incl form 009 to AINP. This was mid-Dec.
I sent all forms on Dec 30 to AINP and am still waiting for file number.

divagirl:
You mention they have started processing applications without pre-assessment - I must've missed the post. Would you know who in our forum has reported this?
Thanks.
