did anyone get positive pre-assessment decision and the invitation packet this week?
It's been 4 weeks and counting for me...
I'm quite anxious to get into the next step....
I am also in the same boat as you are. Applied in first week of December through a Lawyer. Please post if you find anything, I will if I find anything. Its over a month, hopefully will hear something this month.

I sent my FBI clearance application to:
FBI CJIS Division – Record Request 1000 Custer Hollow Road Clarksburg, West Virginia 26306
I didn't include ATTN: SCU, Mod. D-2
Will it be okay?
Please let me know...
Kishor

Nothing new on my side either. It's been 5+ weeks. Although in the confirmation e-mail they did say it might take upto 4 months to get through with the pre-assessment step, and then upto 4 months to get Alberta nomination certificate, total 8months to get nominated.
I am hoping it will not take full 4 months to hear back about pre-assessment. My H1 expires in march 2010 and I dont think my employer will extend my H1, so I am running out of time.
I am also registered for H1B Webinar January 14th. Will try to get a timeline estimate from them and will post all relevant news.

Hmmm.... You're still luckier Felix, my H1B expires Jul09 and the employer already is talking to convert it to L1. But anyways, I wish goodluck for all who are in pre-assessment boat.

Congrats to bendjoe and Jay007.
Both of you got nominated the same day. It looks like they are approving about 5 applicants per day (278 to 282).
Were there any contacts by the AINP between the full application received date and the nomination date for anything like needed more docs or something is filled wrong etc.?
Did they contact your employers?
Good luck with the next step (CIC).
