I got my nomination today. It was dated Nov 30 2009. This is awesome and hope the best for everyone else who have not yet received the nomination. My Noc 2171.

For those, who have received doc requests, you are almost there.  Just hang on.  You will soon recieve yoiur nomination.

Also, thanks to all of you for sharing your AINP information, so we could track the progress on this forum.



Looking at the Document Request list above, it seems they are issuing the nominations By NOC and By File #.  So, please, it will be very helpful to all of us on the forum, if you could also share your NOC and File number in addition to the Document Request Date.

will any change in the family delay the nomination?
i was requested for docs like others on 11/25/2009, and i replied back stating i got married with my wife's h4 and marriage certificate,
but i haven't received any nomination yet.
any advice on this?

Hi,

I applied on the month of june. My application recieved in 26th June 2009. Still haven't even recieved file number. I think they haven't even opened the application they recieved after april/may.

Let us wait and see.

 Did anyone have experienced getting PCC from Indian Consulate in Washinton DC.
I am in Virginia can I send my PCC request to Indian Consulate in New york.
Indian Consulate in Washington DC does not have any forms on line and they don t even pick up the phone.

Any help is appreciated.

What changes you all expect to be happen on Jan 1st 2010. Like last time they removed the pre assesment stage. Do you think they can temp suspend the H1b AINP category as they are heavily bombared with applications?

 yes we should be touch. You can follow the following link for general idea when r # will come.
So far I once recieved this email
"We have experienced a higher than expected volume of applications in the U.S. Visa Holder Category.  As a result, eligible applications without a job offer from an Alberta employer may take at least 12 months to be processed.  All applications will be processed, although processing times will vary significantly depending on the volume of applications received.

We did our PCC's through the DC consulate. You are right there are no forms. You have to go to the consular wing, supposedly located in the ground floor in the back and deposit your passports along with a fee of $20 per passport. There is no way you can check status as they dont pickup phones. They say that it will take upto 3 weeks ( used to be same evening delivery earlier).

 We religiously checked back after 3 weeks even though from the stamping it was clear that it was done a week back. It's chaotic but hey what do you expect. 

They provide a letter and add a stamp on your passport mentioning when the PCC was issued.

All in all DC does it but you just have to visit a couple of times and hope they dont ask you to come back later.
