job prospects are definately improving. sales are improving and that means the people are spending. looks like Canada economy will bounce back faster than US. also canada financial were the strongest compared to rest of the nation during the big dips. considering all these factors the nominations have started again. i have three 6 friends/relatives who have applied under 2171 and one of them got their nomination last week.

there is one person with 2173 NOC cooldeep4u has got the req for docs can anyone  add  in the list. everyone is under impression that ainp has not started requesting 2173

can you share more information on time line. I am also in 2173, applied on march 28th. No doc request yet.

I read that the packet contains a magazine and whole load of other documents. Did they convert all that into the pdf and send it ? Do you know whether they will send you the packet eventually ?

The email I received from our law firm contained my nomination letter (2 pages), PN Acknowlegement Form (1 page), and PN Status Update Form (1 page). I was asked to sign PN Acknowlegement Form and fill PN Status Update Form. The email also contained the instruction for CIC process (similar to Buffalo Checklist), but I don't think it was a part of nomination packet.

And today I received a copy of my nomination letter from AINP by mail (the same letter I received by email from the law firm yesterday). It was sent by Governemnt of Alberta, not by our law firm, and the letter was stamped "COPY." The envelope was a regular white one (No.10 size), and its postmark date was Dec.1.

Thanks a lot for the information Jasper.I haven't recvd the nomination yet but just wanted to get an idea of what to expect i.e. if I get the nomination. Wish you the very best with the rest of the process.

I have received email today from ainp asking more documents like I-797 and paystub etc...
I am hoping to receive nomination with next 10 days....can you guys suggesst who already got nomination that what should i expect next....i know i need to give PCC...but should i look for something else too...
Also is there a possibility to change the counsulate from Buffalo to New Delhi...i mean has someone did this..and if yes then how you did it...your information will be of great help

sorry to hear about your situation. you can continue the CIC processing from india if you decide to stay there. most of the applicants who were asked for the documents got the nomination in around 7-12 days. you need to make sure you have arrangments to collect the nomination letter from your US mailbox. that includes a form which you have to sign and fax within 30 days of receipt.

reply to the email with the documents with your correct file number. one of my friend who is not on the forum got the request for documents email with a typo 'AINP - Canada - Fiel # 7913-09-xxxx'. that confirms the subject was typed and not automated.

to me it is the same case of type in the subject. the email was intended to you. there is very rare chance of typing a wrong email that is a valid email id v/s having a typo in the number.

go ahead and send the documents with the correct file number and you will receive the nomination in 7-12 days.
