Here is the content of the email my contact had received....
"....
Please visit http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/processingtimes.html for our most current processing times.

During our assessment of your application you will only be contacted by a Program Officer if we require additional information.  Please do not call to inquire about the status of your application as this will increase our processing times.  If you wish to add additional information to your application or change information already submitted you may mail or fax the information to:

Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program
Suite 940, Telus Plaza North Tower
10025 Jasper Avenue
Edmonton, Alberta  T5J 1S6  Canada
Fax: (780) 427-6560 "

Thanks, koolchik.

So, it doesn't say 40-60 days and it is still "up to 4 months" then. But it's good to hear some of us are receiving file numbers!

I am not sure about the 40 to 60 day time that AINP stated. AINP stated the same 40 to 60 day time frame to folks who got their file numbers in Feb and March but still a lot of them have not got their nominations

40 to 60 days is not valid after their latest update in April with new time line for processing. It is 4 months for everyone, whether you got email stating 40 - 60 days or not.
I am the live example, I got the email stating 40- 60 days and on June 20th it will be 4 months since i got my file # and I haven't got nomination letter.

I am another example. It has been past 4 months (Feb 13th) and still not a word about the nomination. I had called in last week, and they told me "have patience, we are overwhelmed with applications...4 months is just a gestimate...". so i guess the only thing to do is to wait.

Sometimes its hard to help the situation when too many people are interested in Alberta. A friend of mine has been waiting for almost 5 months. He is hoping to get it today or next week.

I (rather my lawyer, consultant) did that around 3 weeks back with a response to wait for 3 - 4 weeks. I had a word with my consultant on same today, and was told that there were 12 guys who had applied on same day through them including me, and out of which only 2 have got the nomination letter as yet and others are in wait-state like me.

Dilema is whether or not you are nominated, atleast if I come to know that I am nominated, I can start my PCC process, as don't feel like starting that without confirmation as that could cost somes bucks again.

Notdet I think you should get nomination end of this month. I would start with the PCC process as it will take around 1 month to get PCC's and it is valid for 3 months

Yes, I thought same after 60 days, and collected and filled all the forms and kept it ready. I think I will send them over to get my PCC by next week or so. I am feeling this wait now from almost a month, that I will get it anytime. So hope it doesn't goes more :)!

I think i would agree with 'engg' on that one, and may be it is because the number of new applicant's have also decreased after the release of new NOC on 19th May.

i agree that ainp has totally been quiet since 19 May except for the mini burst of file#s for the april new applicants....but based on the fact that the applications have reduced....this seems totally ridiculous! they should have a consistent pattern even if its a little slow. they should have charged something for this application as we are paying so much for all other forms already....we applicants cannot plan a single aspect of our life at this point since we have no clue wats going on or what will happen in a year or two....
