" Just wanted to remind everyone who has sent their applications to CIC. Make sure to fax in the "status update" sheet to Alberta with the "Application sent to CIC" date."

Are you sure about this ? The status update form mentions about sending it after landing .

yeah...even i thought its after landing... we just need to fill the dates and keep it with us & on landing we send the complete update to AINP.

hmm I will double check when I get home. I thought we have to keep them updated  @  every step. But I might be wrong.

Hi Jasper -
After AINP nomination, when we send the AINP application packet to CIC (Buffalo, NY), do we need to send original FBI / Indian Police certificates? Can I send all notarized copies? Your reply is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shambho

Hi shambho,

Yes, we need to send original Police Clearances to CIC. CIC website says:
"All police certificates must be originals. Photocopies will not be accepted by our office." (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp You'll find this statement in the paragraph below the FBI's mailing address in the website page)

Hey Jasper. Thank you very much. How about the AINP nomination form? Do we need to send the original form to CIC?

I did not see any statement that nomination certificate we send to CIC needs to be original, but we should send original to CIC.

CIC will send AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) and Medical Request to you in 3-4 months (CIC sends these together in most cases, but they may be sent separately). Once you complete your medical exam, you'll wait for another several months for PPR (passport request). Then you'll send your passport and RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee) to CIC, and CIC will send your passport back with PR (Permanent Resident) visa.

*RPRF can be paid at any stage of the process, so if you have already paid RPRF, you do not need to send it with your passport to CIC.
*Many cases are transfered to local consulate for faster processing after AOR/Medical Request, but some cases stay in Buffalo.

Hi,

I think this is a frequent question. Sorry for asking again. Please give full details(like go to particular website, docs needed, fees, etc), so that this answer can be useful to so many people.
1. Can anybody tell what's process to get PCC from Georgia and Texas (is rules same for all states in US).
2. Do I need to attend in-person to get PCC from Georgia (ie. right now I am in Texas state). How much time it will take to get PCC.

I am very much thankful to everyone who responds to this questions.
