Hi,

I have a question here who already submitted their applications to CIC.
I haven't get my FBI results yet.If I send my application now with out FBI ,and if I want to submit them later period of time how to update them with out having any Reference number for my application which I have sent already.
If at all I want to wait for AOR ,wait for CIC call to submit my FBI by the time these FBI results will be expired(more than 3 months old). How to handle this Please advise.

Thanks

Dude,

My lawyer suggested to me , send the full application at once, so that you can avoid the delays.
Sending early incomplete application(without FBI) causes lot of delay in communicating with the Consulate.
Without AOR we cant send any documents. It will take atleast 30 weeks to get the AOR as per the cic.
Wink Wink ??think twice before sending the application to CIC.

We will not accept additional documents until a file number is assigned to you application. Once you receive this file number you may resubmit these documents"

"Please allow at least 30 weeks between our receipt of an application and its return to you or our sending of the acknowledgment of receipt letter.
Please wait until you hear from us with further instructions and do not contact our office or send in any further documentation during that period."

Thanks
Alberta hero..

FBI fingerprints sent on 13th Jan -

after 9 weeks

received only husband's FBI, and request to resubmit wife's  fingerprints as they were illegible
going to resubmit wife's fingerprints again tomorrow, and will put (RESUBMISSION) on envelope as advised by FBI agent on the phone.

I have all PCCs and everything ready to go to CIC and now have to resubmit wife's fingerprints... Im a little frustrated, but cant do anything but to resubmit.

For all those who resent their spouse's fingerprints:

- please update us on how long they have been waiting after resubmitting fingerprints? do i have to wait another 9 weeks, I really hope not as my PCCs will go stale by then.

I sent all the PCC's at the same time. I waited for a few weeks to completely assemble my package before I sent it out. I think I got a response very quickly. Others have submitted documents as and when they received 'em. It's up to you.

HappyDwarf,

It is mentioned that only FBI & Home Country PCCs are 'required' at time of submission of application.
The state PCCs are not, they will be asked for by CIC if required at later stage.
So its your wish if you want to get the state PCCs now and send to CIC. But its not mandatory.

Hi,

Is it required to paste photo on PR application form or just give them 4 photos in envelope?
What needs to write on the back of the photos?

Thanks!!

Here are the instructions written in CIC Buffalo websites:

Helpful hints for applicants destined to Quebec and Provincial Nominees (http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/quebec_prov_hints-conseils.aspx?lang=eng):
Place immigration photos in an envelope and staple the envelope to the second page of the application being careful not to put a staple through the photos.

Guide for Provincial Nominees (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EP7.pdf):
- On the back of one photo (and only one) in each set, write the name and date of birth of the person appearing in the photo as well as the date the photo was taken.
- Enclose each set of photos in separate envelopes. Write the family member's name, date of birth and relationship to you on the corresponding envelope and close the envelope with a paper clip.
- Photos must not be stapled, scratched, bent or bear any ink marks.

anyone?

Hi Jacaranda,

I am back after a long silence....

I applied for my FBI clearance on jan 20th and recieved it on March 19th... for both me and my wife... I have this letter stating that there is no criminal record with out any signature... is that how its usually sent out??

Anyway I am moving to the next step... ie sending my application to CIC Buffalo... I have a few concerns (U can call them silly but what the heck is this forum for...)
1. I have 3 applicants including me (2 adults + 1 child) - do i need to get money orders as seperate one's or can I do away with one MO
2. There is this orange sticker given by AINP, which needs to be pasted on the envelope.. Do i need to paste it in the fedex envelope or in the packet which i am going to put in the documents?? (As being precautious, I am enclosing my documents inside a second envelope)
3. The passport size photos.. can i just put them inside the envelope or need to stick it in the application.
4. Also my state NJ PCC was issued on Dec 30 2009, so will it be ok if my application package reached before March 1st. Or is it the date the MO are cashed?

Guys dont shout at me for being silly.. I want make sure that they dont send my package back.. You know after being in H1B like pirates (The scared ones) I have become a scared soul.. Help me out Guys...

Mcluvin, for (2), Orange sticker has to be on the bottom- right hand corner of an envelope.

Thanks

I got a Cashier's Check from my bank Wachovia and it did not cost me any money since I had a Crown Acct with them.
It did not have a 800 number to call, but I was able to walk into my bank and they gave me a copy when the check was cashed. More importantly, it has the bar-code of the tracking number that CIC would later send me. So, I was able to start tracking my status   @   CIC even before they told me.
