Hi,

My check is not encashed yet and I am worried about my application being returned and have the same concern. I called Alberta to find out about it and they said that if the application was submitted before the expiry that should be fine. If they return it any reason they you can simply submit it over again. But when I sent an email to CIC this is what they said.

Dear Applicant,

Permanent resident applications are created in our database and acknowledge letters are sent to the applicant within 30 weeks of receipt. Any application submitted without the required documents and information will be returned to the applicant.

If your PNP certificate expires during the processing of your application, you will then need to contact the province who issued it for a replacement.  The province has the final approval for issuance of  PNP certificates.

Hi,

If the application has incorrect fees then it will be returned for sure. In your case as the application was sent after 1st of May there are chances that it might be returned too.

What I would do is contact CIC and ask them if they would accept the resubmission with a expiry date of 5/17. I have provided the answer I got from them in the previous post.

Thats retarded I am sure everyones nomination will expire while the app is in process. I think the app has to reach buffalo before the nomination expires. And if they return it for an error and you resubmit; still the first date of submission holds. As mentioned by Alberta.

BTW one of my friends app got returned and CIC does stamp the date on which it received the app on the front of the application. So thats how they know what was the date of the first submission.

Hi,

According to them a complete application should be sent to them before the expiry of nomination. Errors while filling the forms or incorrect fees will be returned. If there is genuine case where the FBI/PCC are not availed prior to expiry they will accept the application without the document.

The check being enchased is a big milestone to determine if the application was accepted or not. If the check has been encashed then relax and dont worry about the expiry of the nomination.

Now my check is not encashed yet and that is my biggest worry  Smiley

Hi,

If they go by that then its really good for us and nothing to worry. But their repsonse to my enquiry is something with makes me concered a bit.

Why dont you try to email them asking about your case and see what response you get? May be the person who replied to my inquiry did not understand the case well. I have got different responses from AINP on calling them while waiting for nomination. It all depends on the person you are talking to, they express different opinions at times.

As per the USPS tracking it was received at CIC on 6th April. My check has not been encashed yet nor was it returned yet. My nomination expires on 29th May.

I also had put out this question twice in different threads and there was no response to it.

What I have noticed is they usually retunr applications fairly quick if their is an error. Like in 2-3 weeks. You sure your address is correct? Double check that if you have a copy of your application.

One good thing I did was scanned all the forms and documents before sending to CIC. I am sure there is no mistake on my end. One exception happened with the postal service is that on 2nd April it was a holiday for CIC. The application went back to USPS as it required a signature. USPS then attempted to deliver it on 6th and was delivered. Now I am wondering what the issue might bee.......

Hi,

Please anybody can tell me CIC contact number or email ?

Thanks

I think it is either re-buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca or buffalo-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

But better try contacting through CIC website.
