Hi, I was also checking that site but the FBI site mentions that a law enforcement agency can do it. I went to the local Police Precinct and got it done. Much cheaper. I downloaded the fingerprint form from the FBI site. BTW I too reside in NJ

Regards
Gautam

You are lucky is all I can say.

I called local Police Station and NJ state Police dept at Trenton asking specifically for a fingerprint card NOT a PCC, they both asked me to go to Sagem Morpho, (official finger printing agency for the state of NJ) which told me that they will not give me the fingerprints, they sent my fingerprints to NJ state Police who then issued me a NJ state PCC within a week, from the date of my fingerprinting appointment with Sagem Morpho.

Legalcitizen,

you will have to fill new forms...download latest from CIC website and fill out.
CIC will need your forms signed and dated as of now.....not from date when you applied for nomination.

I went to AAA to get the pictures for CIC application and the lady there told me of a case where other guy had to come back 4 to 5 times to get his pics taken again as CIC was not happy with the pics. So all those who are trying to cut corners and do the pics yourselves (pun intended!) please take care. I can see another enormous WAVE OF DELAY coming up!!

My hunt for a good place in SoCal (LAX) to get the right pics has been futile. No one takes the pics in the size that CIC mentions. The ones from AAA had to be cut and some are not truly right size :-(

try walgreens or rite-aid or any other pharmacy chain. mine were accepted alright. i took a ruler with me, and had them redo it when they did not meet the spec.
i had to trim the pics myself though.

I don't understand what the CIC means when it says Medical form attached not to schedule medical exam for next 3 months of for further info.

Any thoughts?

I went through the CIC site for this scenario and found that we need to get a translated copy of the Foreign PCC and send a translated , notarized copy along with the original foreign language PCC. Even I had a German PCC that need to translated I used the below site for translation and notarize of PCC. I sent my scanned copy to them yesterday and waiting on mail response.

I had same confusion because in the Cover letter saying - Medical form attached and not to schedule medical exam for next 3 months or ill next further notification.
Medical form says -  Schedule medical exam immediately, Exam after 60 days will delay the process.

I posted the same confusion/Question in this forum and got advice from people to contact CIC.
I sent out Email to CIC and still awaiting relpy...

Hi,

You could also try the www.epassportphoto.com where you can upload your picture and work on it. The download is a sheet which you can print in 4x6 size at home or at Walmart etc. The sheet will have 7 prints tiled on a 4x6 format. My cousin used this for his FSW application and it was accepted.

Thanks,

FINALLY, I received my FBI certificate today. Here's my timeline for FBI clearance:
-Sent my request (fingerprint card) by USPS: 12/2/2009
-FBI received my request (USPS tracking): 12/7/2009
-FBI mailed out my certificate (postmark date): 3/1/2010
   -Received my FBI certificate: 3/5/2010

But the official dates written on my FBI certificate are:
   -Received: 12/14/2009
-Returned: 2/23/2010 (this is probably the date when FBI finished processing my case)
   -Certificate was dated 2/25/2010
-At the bottom of certificate, "FEB 26 2010" was stamped in red ink

Assuming there were no hits in your case....can you please post what is the content in the FBI Certificate?
Also, if someone's name had hits in FBI database, to what level of detail does the FBI certificate cover them?

Is it a yes/no to FBI clearance or will a 'No' from FBI go into greater detail explaining the reason for the 'No'?

Thanks in advance

In my case, there's no criminal history, so my FBI certificate looks like this:

Subject Name            Received           Returned                   Result
XXXXX XXXXX          12/14/2009        02/23/2010         NO ARREST RECORD - FBI

Social Security Number: XXX-XX-XXXX (shows the last 4 digits only)

I think the result shows/lists only the criminal history with arrest record.

Please help, need help from seniors and experts, I am reposting my query....

Hi Friends,

I am new to this forum and need help. I received my nomination in Jan and I am currently awaiting FBI clearance certificate. My problem is that I have to move back to India in another 2 weeks and most likely, I might not get the FBI clearance document by then.

To complicate the matter, i am moving to canada on a study permit in April end. I am thinking of applying then from Canada and sending all the documents in one go.

Will it be an issue if I send my documents to Buffalo even though I am in canada and that too on study permit? please help as I don't want to lose the opportunity to get PR after coming so close.

Thanks for your help.
