And I updated your info on spreadsheet, image. And it seems that CIC sends out AOR/Medical in 2-3 months (based on last year's cases). There was one member who submitted his application to Buffalo (without current FBI clearance, if I remember correctly) in late Dec 2009, but I haven't seen any recent news on AOR/Medical receipt in the forum. As long as I know, virgos and you are the first ones who submitted applications with FBI clearance. Let's hope for the best, and all members here will look forward to hearing good news from you guys!

Hi Jaspar - From the trackitt forum I see that lastest to get AOR/Medicals are of Oct '09 applicants. Last years trends look 2-3months but now I assume its 5-6months. Good if we get them 2-3months though.

By the way, I also applied to CIC without FBI reports and now I have received them yesterday so, emailed CIC with scancopies of it and asked them on how to send them in originals. I hope to receive reply soon...

Thanks

Yeah, that is my only option right now. FBI is not going to charge for my wife's second attempt. I have to send a new finger print card with information they sent me. I do have another 2 sets of finger prints for my wife taken from the same day. But I don't think those finger print cards will work because they are copies of the same scan taken by the same officer.

No harm sending those old card along with new one(try getting it from some different guy/place)...... infact see if you can send 2-3 cards - just to be safer (there are few members who have sent 3-4 copies in first attempt itself.  Also if you have some time left for your other PCCs to expire see if you could wait till then.... suggesting this as FBI has suddenly started sending a lot of FBI reports (someone mentioned earlier that FBI has a new system in place- now i guess their new system has started working properly now Smiley   )

DESIKIVAAT,
They have mentioned the Id pages of passport like you said.
I included non blank pages since it had my past h1-b stampings and canadian visas....these support the details I provided on the "schedule for background details".

So u would be correct in suplying only the passport information pages.

-virgos

Thanks Virgos- helpful list!

I have a small question....
8)I though we just need to take the copy of first page(which has our name, DOB, date of issue & expiry of passport plus passport number) + current visa page.  I have a lot of non-blank pages on my passport..infact just 2-3 blank pages.  I tried to check the list but i couldn't find anywhere that we need to send copy of all non-blank pages.... could you let me know if i am missing some page with all this information.

Hi,

We got FBI Clearence just for my wife on 6th March. We both applied same time in same envelop. Not sure why it happend like that. Will call FBI tomorrow and find out.

Is any body took the pictures on their own and use epaaportphotocom to make it canada immigraion specific and send them to CIC.Any advise on this.

Where are the place that we are going to mention that we are provincial Nominee in our CIC Appliations except Economic class in IMM0008 Geniric.

Thanks

I did and its very quick & cheap if you have softcopy of your photo.

Follow the procedures in epassportphoto, save it onto ur system and upload it RiteAid site. It costed me 19 cents for 5 photos.

I have used epassportphotos to generate photos to be submitted with the Canadian Immigration forms. I believe it is one of the most user friendly websites that is also easy on your wallet.  Grin

Hi Friends,

I am new to this forum and need help. I received my nomination in Jan and I am currently awaiting FBI clearance certificate. My problem is that I have to move back to India in another 2 weeks and most likely, I might not get the FBI clearance document by then.

To complicate the matter, i am moving to canada on a study permit in April end. I am thinking of applying then from Canada and sending all the documents in one go.

Will it be an issue if I send my documents to Buffalo even though I am in canada and that too on study permit? please help as I don't want to lose the opportunity to get PR after coming so close.

Thanks for your help.

Whereas virgos may have a case to send some pages in support of the background details (canadian visa etc.), I don't think we need to send all non-blank pages. They want the id pages and this means (for Indian passports) the first 2 pages and the last 2 pages. There is no need to re-send the H1B visa page as well - as we've done that for the nomination already- the CIC process doesnt require us to prove having  a H1B. Please correct me if my interpretation is wrong.
Thanks.

The "Travel Documents and Passports" section of Buffalo Instructions says "If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live." So we should include the copy of either I-797 or H1-B visa in our applications.

Agree 100%.....its your discretion how much support documentation you want to include above and beyond the minimum requirement.
Everybody needs to use some of their own judgement on issues like this

FYI, Like Jasper mentioned,  you have to provide copy of ur visa if you are applying outside of ur country of citizenship.

I dnt think we need to send last pages of passport(indian passport)- it has parents name and address where PP issued & they have not asked for this info.  I m planning to send only the front laminated page which has photo plus page no. 1 next to it.   Also as Jasper said we need to send Visa/I-797 page of passport if we reside in different country...have seen few past posts where applications without visa/I-797 were returned.
