Hi desikiVAAT,

Yes, this is my 10th week... So I called FBI today but I was told that it would take 1-2 more weeks and that I should call again next week.

And what my law firm said in the email was that my police clearances had been requested by the visa office, so my police clearance would not be expired (but I haven't submitted my application to Buffalo yet). So I contacted the firm again but I still couldn't get clear answer from them. The biggest concern I had was my Japanese police clearance, which will expire in a month and can't be requested again. But according to the law firm, it is fine and I can rest assured that CIC will accept it (Anyway I haven't visited Japan for years, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it).

And I do understand the temptation of sending without FBI clearance! It may be good to submit your application without FBI clearance if your other PCCs are close to 3 months old.

called FBI today...i am yet not in their system & the lady said it is normal - even i have been asked to call next week. Yes, i remember you telling about your Japan PCC cannot be requested again - since u have not been there i think they should not have any problem even if it is older...but i would suggest not to make it too old -since u cannot get a new one.
My PCCs will be three months old in March.. a few days delay should be o.k..3months and a week or so... i dnt plan to delay any further.   Lets keep our fingers crossed.... our FBI was a bad timing.

I called CIC today and they told me to send complete application including FBI and Country PCC to receive AOR? How ever they told me State's PCC is not required at this time.

Thanks

Cool.... so we better wait for FBI report.  They didnt ask for state PCC as that is normally asked (if required not necessary) after medicals as per the old posts i have read in CIC thread....right now they need home country PCC & FBI only.

I have the same timeline for FBI as Jasper. My card was charged $18 yesterday (Feb 9 2010).
I mailed FPs on Dec 4th 2009 by First Class US Mail.

Hope This Helps

Hai guys..seems we are sailing in the same boat...I sent my request for BC TO FBI, received by them on the 21st Dec 2009. Still waiting and called today...nothing in records yet...said it's too early to call need to wait for two weeks and call back...days are leading to months and the D' month May, it's approaching fast. I am sure everybody has the same 6 months to their visas. I wish things could be more informative and easier to handle. Alt least we have all us to share our experiences and find solace. It sucks!!  Embarrassed

Have you guys applied to CIC??
