For CIC application birth certificate requirement can we use notarized tenth certificate which has date of birth in it???

DO u mean your 10th class certificate?  If so, then - No, it cannot be used as birth certificate..they are different.  Birth certificate is made from the place u were born in India or u can get it done through Indian Consulate.  Birth certificate contains name of your parents, place of birth info.

Jasper,

Any update on FBI reports? You are one of the earliest person who submitted finger prints report to fbi. If I am not wrong on first week of Dec 2009 correct?

Have you received FBI report as of today. Please let us know, as it will help us to determine when will we get ours.

Thanks

Yes.... FBI report will delay our CIC application.  We are all waiting for Jasper's FBI clearance report as he was the first one to apply in our Nov/Dec/Jan nomination batch  Cheesy

Hi all,

Unfortunately I haven't received my FBI report yet. FBI received my request on Dec 7 (confirmed by USPS tracking and by calling FBI) and it is now 7th week of my waiting period. So today I called FBI again to check the status of my request, but sadly they told me that they have not started working on my request yet (FBI said "The delay is because FBI receives thousands of requests everyday"). This means it is unlikely that I will receive my FBI report in a week or two. I'll probably have to wait till the end of 10th week or maybe even longer.

Then after calling FBI, I emailed my immigration lawyer and asked what I should do (because the expiration dates of other PCCs are approaching...). The law firm usually responds to my email in 2-3 business days, so if I get any useful information or professional opinion on this issue, I will let you guys know.

Also vsrao and I updated the CIC Timeline Tracker http://tinyurl.com/AINP-Tracking-System. Just like AINP Timeline Tracker, once you open it, you'll be able to see the timelines of forum members' CIC application. (Please let me know if you find any incorrect information.)

recently read a post where someone had sent a mail to AINP asking what to do in case he does not receive FBI report in time...the reply he got said: we cannot give u any suggestion .....etc etc... in the end the person did mention that " if u submit without it then reason for not submitting must be mentioned clearly" ...i dnt remember which thread that post was but was posted within last week.

Did any one tried getting a police certificate from state of california?
today i received a mail that has a sheet of paper that reads as follow:
" Based upon a fingerprint search of records contained in the bureau of criminal identification and information files, there is no information meeting dissemination criteria pursuant to california law on the above named individual.
this transaction has not been recorded by doj bureau of criminal identification and information, therefore no subsequent arrest information will be provided."

is that what i should be getting back from them?
please advise.
thanks

Found it in "H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline" thread! The quote below is the message posted by ChaloCanada:

I sent an email to Buffalo asking if I can send my application without FBI PCC

this is what they replied...

"Thank you for your enquiry.

We do not offer individual counselling nor can we provide assistance in completing your application form.

You must follow the instructions in the application kit. If you are unable to supply any required documents or information, please enclose a detailed explanation.

Canadian Consulate General Buffalo

Immigration Section
"

SO I guess if you send a letter stating you would be sending FBI letter later. they miight be OK

yes..this is the one i was talking about.  Also, i think there will be so many people sending without FBI (Incase FBI delays more than 10 weeks) that they will understand it & might not return the application.... but i think it is important to wait 8-10 weeks before sending CIC application so that we can let them know that we waited for FBI report !

I sent my request on 22nd Dec and stupid UPS delivered it on 24th Dec (which was holiday). So I am not sure if it is delivered right.
Apart from that I did check today about my cashier's check and it has not been cashed yet. Does anyone know if FBI will cash cashier's check first and then start on application ?

I believe, this would not be of value to take their words..

You asked AINP officer about CIC process ? Do you think you will get get right answers from them ?

I called CIC today regarding FBI files, And they told me to go over Provincial check list , which means we have to send FBI and Country PCC along with other documents to received AOR.

Thanks
