H1 Visa stamping in Canada - while PR under process

Hey guys,

Could any of you pls advise me on this -
I am an Indian working in US on H1B visa. My work visa expired in Dec, 05 and I have got an extension for next 3 years. I want to visit India and come back so obviously I need my passport stamped before re-entering US. My question is - can I go to Toronto, Canada for stamping.
I know lot of people do so but I want to know whether my PR which is in process (AOR - Aug, 05) would any way negatively impact I getting visitor Visa to Canada. Should I rather go to Mexico for stamping?
US consulates in India are drivining me crazy with a visa interview scheduling wait times of 5 months+.

did you go to canada or mexico for stamping. i am in same confusion to get h1 visa stamping as my wife needs to go to india on medical issues and indiam embassy, u knw how tey work...


pls suggest me something if u have discovered some way out..
