H & C application approved!

Hello,

I applied under the Humanitarian & Compassionate category in late 2008.

Within 3 months my application was trasferred to our local CIC office.

In July 2010 I got a letter saying that I was granted exemption by a representative of the Minister...

In August 2010 I was asked to complete "Client History Update" form, provide copy of a valid passport and do medical exam.

I did the medical and the result was sent to CIC in mid-october 2010.

I was also given OHIP (Ontario Health Card) recently.

1- Do I still have to update CIC about my job activities and other issues related to my settlement in Canada?
2- Can my application for permanent residency be still refused, even though I have a valid passport, no medical condition and no criminal record?
3- Any time frame for receiving my PR card?

Did they ask you to do the security check yet ?  Did they send you a form for medical ?

Applied 2007


Transferred to Etobicoke in April 2010

June 2010 they ask for a file update

August 2010 , kids documents ( birth certificate ) and copy of passport requested

January 2011  : Approval in Principle...  then I applied for OHIP and got it, just by presenting the AIP letter
