hi, Yes, Medical request is sent by registered post. When looking at your timeline, it could most probably be the medical request delivery you missed today. Good luck. Ice cube

Hi Sukh It would be great and I really wish your anticipation is right. I also read out in this forum that MR comes through normal post but some also received by registered post as well. Just wondering that your Ecas still not turned into In process (although there is plenty of evidence that E cas not always indicate the true processing status!!) Anyway, I wish that you gonna get a good news tomorrow and pl don't forget to share with us...

Hi Fariza, That's what I am thinking that it could be some sort of communication from CHC Sydney, Because I wasn't expecting anything else in registered post. Surely I will share if there is any news, My status is still "received by visa office" Cheers

hi, I got my medical by registered post and as well as every other correspondences were also by registered post. Since these correspondences include our personal details and immigration file numbers, I do not think CHC would want their mails to get lost before they reach intended recipients ( what i mean by that is regular post involves some risk and carries no guarantee, right). However, there might by exceptions to this as well. It is always good idea to stick to the latest information we find on the web. Once i came across a post which said that medical request was sent via an email. Ice cube

Usually every letter from the CHC comes-in by "normal" postal media -- not thru registered post or courier -- except the stamped pps (which returns by courier, vide the envelope & arrangement preordained by us). Qorax

It depends on the visa offices. I know only two of them, CHC Islamabad uses private courier company and CHC London uses normal postal mail. I am the twice victim of missing mails sent by London CHC via normal mail. My fist application was refused as I missed the interview letter in 2001. Applied again in 2007 and missed the medical request in Jan 2009 and my medicals were delayed by 8 months.

It will depend on the visa office and also depend on the line manager. Mine came through normal post and was sent to the wrong address. You're dealing with a governmental bureaucratic department. They care little about the human consequence of their system. Why would they? Relax and it will happen in it's own time. You have no control and exert even less.
You're dealing with office workers who are the same the world over. 9-5 employees. By all means continue to clog up the system with inane requests.

Hi Guys that registered post wasn't medical, that was my parking fine! lol, .. you are not that far from your medical though. what we have learnt from your illigal parking is that, the means in which CHC contacts its applicants, either by normal or registered post. so you know what to expect next time. :-) Good luck Ice cube
