Folks,

I believe many of us have received AINP nomination and applied for CIC.
Gurus - BCguys, Leon

In a sunny day scenario, I wanted to know what is the timeline to receive AOR, medical request and overall duration from CIC to landing visa issuance?

Thanks,

The letter said 12 weeks, did you already have your 12 weeks? in this period of time you'll receive your AOR if your send everything, did you send your proof of funds? and when you receive your AOR sure it will come with the instructions about medicals.

Cheers!

My CIC application reached Buffalo office on 5th Jan 09. I have included all requisite fees along with landing fees. I did send PCC, FBI clearance as well as proof of funds. I suppose that I should hear around end of March or early April 09. Hopefully, I will finish with medicals in a week after request is received. So where do we go next and what is wait time for Interview request? or Passport request [if interview is waived off] ?

Thanks,

from trackitt.com  it seems like it is as fast 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months...
For some people who were able to convert FSW to PNP it was even faster...
i sent my app to CIC on Jan 22 (with note for FSW to PNP)...

good luck everybody

Thank you all for replying.

I am trying my best to understand the CIC processing timeline and figure if I can relocate to Calgary this summer. If my processing at CIC takes significantly longer then I will have to wait until next year because of school going kids.
In which case, I will do PR landing formalities before actual relocation.

Thanks again!!!

friends... today  i recieved my app I had sent to CIC returned back to me along with fees Sad

they put a letter asking me to correct some date fields and send the application back to them...

also on the application for PR form in the upper right corner in the office file no. field they had
written a 10  character no. starting with :

     K90xxxxxxx

and stamped as PNP.

I wondering if this no. is same as AOR or application file no. any clues ?

Sorry about that, can you share on which part you put the dates wrong? it was on your personal history or your places where you use to live? good news they ask to return your application as soon you fix your errors.

I had put incorrect date in one place in Section 15 of IMM0008 (addresses where previously lived)
yeah, its good that they asked to return application after correction. they also asked me to include
that same original CIC letter that had specified to me to do the correction.

Another one, When did you summit your application? and did you get this letter in the 12 weeks range?

ainpdude,
Nice to know that they requested for correction while assigning some number. I am not sure what this number means but I could get the meaning to some of terms from CIC help section.

Identification Type
You may have one or more identification type(s), depending on your application(s). Refer to your correspondence or official documents to determine which identification type(s) you have received from Citizenship and Immigration.
Client ID Number
You will find this number on official documents issued to you from a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office, Case Processing Centre or visa office where you submitted your application. Your "Client ID Number" has four numbers, a dash (-), and four more numbers. (Example: 0000-0000).
Receipt Number (IMM 5401)
You will find this number on the document that was filled out and stamped when you paid your fees at a financial institution or on the official receipt you obtained when you paid your fees on the Internet. Your "Receipt Number (IMM 5401)" starts with a letter, followed by nine numbers. (Example: B000000000).
Immigration File Number
You will find this number on any official document issued to you from the visa office where you submitted your application. Your "Immigration File Number" starts with the letter "B", and is followed by nine numbers. (Example: B000000000).
Permanent Resident Card number
Your "Permanent Resident Card" number is located in the top left corner on the back of your card. The "Permanent Resident Card" number will begin with two letters followed by 10 numbers. (Example: RA0302123456).
Confirmation of Permanent Residence number (IMM 5292 or 5509)
You will find this number in top right corner of your Confirmation of Permanent Residence document issued to you by a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office or by the visa office where you submitted your application. Your Confirmation of Permanent Residence number starts with a "T" followed by nine numbers. (Example: T100000000).

I think most likely it is Immigration File Number; but hey I might be wrong.
Did you check if your check for fees was encashed?

Keep us posted.

My application reached CIC Buffalo on 5th Jan; since I haven't heard from them, is it safe to assume that my paperwork was complete? Smiley

Thanks,

hey taps .. many thanks for mining these definitions for us..

I think the number written on this returned IMM0008 form might fall in to the "Reciept No." category
I am guess it is so for these reasons :

1. The no. written here starts with one character followed by nine digits : K09xxxxxx

2. Imm0008 corner box says (for office use only : Office file no. (or IMM 1343 Case Label)

and ... i m wondering if "receipt no" written here is same as "immigration no."

Actually, they did return my fees they didnt encash it... i m wondering if they linked this PNP
application with the earlier FSW fees that they had already encashed Smiley ... if they do that
then i hope they return my PNP fee ...

i think if u have not yet heard then ur application must be complete and they might not found
any issues.... i  think u should be hearing from them any time soon... normal response time
is seen to be around 6 - 8 weeks...

i will keep posted here .... good luck !

One question here:

On proof of funds >-  Did you send 3 months of bank statements? or just the most recent one?
