Got WP Extension but not have Valid Visa

Hi,

I got WP extension but do not have valid visa. I am planning for a vacation and want to go to india. Can I leave canada and apply multiple entry visa from there?.

Will my WP become valid or will get void/cancelled after leaving canada. I heard that there are some recently changes in the rules.

What are the chances to be rejected my Visa in india?

hi... my husband had the same experience. his visa was already expired when he had his vacation here in the Philippines. he renewed his work permit before leaving canada for the vacation and applied for his TRV here, with his renewed work permit, LMO, contract, and a letter from his employer that he is expected to come back to Canada after the vacation as attachments.

better to phone CIC and clarify on the existing policies/rules in India. good luck!

Thanks to share you experience....

One of my friend has same confusion...He had applied WP extension here...His WP extension is in process but he want to go to India for few months....He is worried about the status of his WP.

1. His WP will get void/cancelled if he leaves Canada?
2. If somebody receive his extended WP here and handed over to him in India...Can he apply re-entry Visa from there?...

Can someone has any knowledge about these kind of situations?

If you still have enough time left it is advisable to apply for your visa before leaving Canada!
