Hi All,

I am happy to share the news that my brother got his PR stamped on his passport and we got it today.  His NOC category is 3113 (Dentist).  It took total 8 months for him to get the PR from the time he sent his original application.  I will post the details of important dates regarding his application

One quick question.  In his CPR form, his place of birth is left blank.  But all other details are mentioned.  Will that pose a problem when he comes here.  Place of birth got printed for his spouse and child.

We wanted to know what is best procedure to get it corrected or is there a need to correct it now.  How important it is?

I myself an immigrant ( landed in Nov 2010), I am looking forward to other members for suggestion.

His timelines are as follows:

NOC category:  3113
Initial application sent:  Sept 9th 2010
First AOR Received:  Dec 23rd 2010
Transfer to New Delhi visa office:  Feb 14th, 2011
Medical request:  March 4th, 2011
Medicals done:  March 13th 2012
Passport sent for stamping:  March 30th, 2011
Visa issued:  May 3rd, 2011

No problem. Don't bother about it. If COPR is sent for correction it will take at least a month. The place of birth is already in the passport which can be verified by the officer if required while landing.

Best wishes!!.

Congrats to your brother. He is indeed a lucky chap in getting visa in 8 months while many waiting for just getting an active BFD or change in status (E cas) over years!!! All the best
