Got the verification call. What next?

 but in my case still now i hvnt got any file number yet and they hv started verification also...
wht does that mean?
my consultant told me that people who hv filed in november, de are gettng back dr application wth the reason tha caps are closed..
but i hvnt got any mail pr reply from dr side but just dis verification call....
and dat too he just asked 2 questions to my employer...
his name and does he kknw sudhir aggarwal and aftr that he dint ask anythng ... my employer kept on saying hello hello but no reply from dat side....
can u do me a favour harsh? do u have dat number from whr d call came? so that i can cross check it?

Sudhir, I haven't got that number but I still remember that it started with +11 66******.

whyto worry man?....IN PROCESS means they have started processing ur file....whether they give the date or not...it doesnt make a difference.

how is the date so important?...i dont find any sense in that.

Have patience man...(afcourse u do have a lot)

The same thing happened to me. They called my employer on 5th December at around 3 PM on their landline and asked about me, my postion, my job duties as well as my pay though my employer told that the information is confidential but they insisted. Also, the lady on the other side was quite rude.

Now the amazing part.

By keeping my employer call on hold, she called my home landline number to verify details with my self but I had left for work and hence was told by my brother  that I already left for work.

At the same moment I got a call on my mobile to verify my personal details like my DOB, my anniversary and all but due to I being in traffic I had to speak twice or so and she was not satisfied with it although I gave all the correct details.

My E-CASE status changed to "In Pocess" on 8th December with a line added that " We reviewed your file and started processing on 8th Dec"

What should I expect next?

Also, my address(consultant)  has disappeared on 27TH Jan,2012

Hi Sudhir.

It normally takes atleast a month and a half(minimum) for the CIC(Novascotia) to do a eligibility check and if and when that comes out positive, they will send you(normally) an email containing your file number. I would strongly suggest you to check your SPAM folder of the email(that u mentioned on ur application) to find the email from CIC. The fact that you have received a verification call from CHC ND suggests to me that they(CIC Novascotia) have determined that u r eligible for processing and transferred your file to your local visa office( New Delhi in ur case)

Infact, you should be even receiving a registered post from NDVO which states that your file has been received by them and they will let you know incase they need anything further from you.

In any case, you are the first one that I'm seeing who has got a verification call even before receiving the written communication from NDVO. Baffles me a little

Generally, the call comes after your file have reached your respective VO after a PER from Nova Scotia

In your case its pretty strange that the call came from an ISD number and on top of that you have still not received your file number.

In that case, I am as clueless as you buddy. You need to check with your consultant. One thing, this definitely is not a verification call if its from CIC Novascotia.

The only change is that my address went missing from e-CAS on 28 Jan. Besides, I haven't received anything by email/snail mail..
What about your documents. Have u received them from Punjab and submitted to VO?

PS: Had a big blow to my account on Eur/usd day before yesterday..
