Hi Guys,

I live in Toronto. I have applied PR under CEC category last year and I was called for an interview, and the officer told me that my job description doesnt match any of the categories that fall under 0, A or B. So, I got rejected.

Now I want to re apply under Skilled Worker Category. I have 1 year full time job experience under NOC B category in India, which is 8 years back. But I did not mention about this job in my last application (...which got rejected ), as I was going to school part time during that time, so I just mentioned that I went to school part time. So my question is, can I still use that job experience and apply under skilled worker category using the point system ?

My 3 yrs post graduate work permit expired and I switched to a study permit....I did not register for any courses in Winter semester (Jan, 2011), so my second question is, Would that be an issue with my new application in the long run that I have missed this semester ?

Thanks.

In order to qualify for the Skilled Worker category (if you do not have a qualifying job offer from a Canadian employer), you will need to have at least 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) paid work experience in one of the 29 occupations. You can find the occupations here: http://www.canadavisa.com/occupation-profiles.html
