Thanks to every one again for your warm wishes.

I plan to land in Canada through Detroit / Windsor using my own car this week, and drive back to USA utilizing AVR rule. Later I plan to move to Canada in about few weeks. Here are the two questions that I need information. Please let me know your inputs.

1) Can I land at Windsor (driving from Detroit) driving my own car? or should it be a rental car? I plan to import it to Canada later.
2) Reg. proof of funds, I plan to carry $1000 USD in cash, and then the rest in bank statement(s). Will this be OK?

After doing some research, I decided to take a rental car..and 2000$ cash with a bank statement...
