Hello Members

I am here in Canada under BCPNP on work permit and recently I got my PR stamped on my passport. Now I want to go to my home country to sell one property and to take my family and funds over here.

The one thing which is confusing me is that, when I re-enter here in Canada, can they ask me about my employer or my work or pay-stubs or contact employer as i was laid off due the present position of the economy.

Members please help me and let me know that what should i do in this scenario.
1. Should I go to my home and take PR stamped with my family after 3-4 weeks when I came back.
2.  or should I go to my near-by border and get the passport stamped and go to home and provide local address to post PR card.
3.  or should I go to local CIC office.

Are they still concerned about my job etc

Pls help
Rendy

Personally if I were you I'll do my landing fomalities then go home and bring my family.I don't think you losing your job after PR visa has been stamped is a big deal or else they should have asked for current prove of employment b4 visa stamping.

Hey Rendy1,

If you have PR visa stamped in your passport then it does't matter if you are working or not...they wont ask for your previous employer or anything related to your previous or current job.

In my opinion, no need to go to nearby border or cic office for landing formalities...u can just go to home country and come back whenever u want (before PR visa expiration date in yr ppt) and do the landing while come back from home country. Same time you can give them local canada address for PR card or you can fax later.

As per my knowledge having job is not the criteria as PR but they might ask for proof of fund while entering as PR .So make sure you have proof of fund as per Canada immigration requirement depending on size of family.

Thanks Jack and Mumbai bhai...

But this is the only thing for which im getting confused. In this same forum and in some other forums too, I hv read that they may ask for proof of job and proof of funds. And by the way how much funds and what other documents, i require to satisfy the immigrant officers as i'm alone here now and other family members will come later.

Awaiting reply..
