hi there
my file was transferred from Damascus office to Warsaw office on April 2010 & i got an e-mail from Warsaw office on 10 September 2010
they asked me to send new application forms, new police certificates, military service exemption, civil status documents, proof of language proficiency, certified copies of all post-secondary diplomas and degrees, detailed letters of reference from employers, proof of relationship to my sister in Canada, bank statement, sticky address labels. they gave me a 90 days limit to submit my documents or otherwise they will start processing my application regardless these documents.
i have some questions plz:
1- regarding police certificates, i resided in Iraq for more than 6 years & getting a police clearance from there is difficult & will take time, usually more than 90 days, if i fail to get the Iraqi police certificate in the 90 days limit!! wt should i do?
2- they asked me to submit original hard copies of my diplomas & scientific degrees!! i have only one original copy of each, so should i submit the originals & a certified copy with translation would be enough? & if certified copy is enough from where should i get my copies certified?
3- they asked ,e to provide civil status extracts?? wt do they mean by this? is my ID enough? coz i am originally from Palestinian authority & as far as i know they don't provide a civil status extracts? wt should i do if i could not get a civil status extract?
4- regarding IELTS, i took an academic module, is this valid or should i reset the exam with a General module?

thanx for all ur help guys
waiting ur quick response coz i don't have too much time to start

1. olice certificates are really important try to get one before deadline if cant manage it include the reciept of payment with your document and include explanation why its late and then later on sumbit PCC seapratly when you get it Smiley but try to apply on urgent basis and you might make it

2. order a another copy of transcript or duplicate transcript from your uni or college , you can send a notarized copy of degree but tanscript should be original or dulicate issued by uni . degree copis cna be certifiyed by any lawyer who is eligiable to do notarized the document in you country of resident

3. i guess civi status means marraige certificate if you married or divorce documents if you are divorcy etc...

4. regarding IELTS i have submitted Acadamic in FEB 2010 but again is depend if they hv changed the law you better ask all these question from qorax .. he would answer you in a batter way as i am not realy expert.... Smiley

wish you gud luck

1- regarding police certificates, i resided in Iraq for more than 6 years & getting a police clearance from there is difficult & will take time, usually more than 90 days, if i fail to get the Iraqi police certificate in the 90 days limit!! wt should i do?
>>> Write an explanation and mentioning the problem in going to Iraq. Intended danger over there. I think they would expect from you to go and bring Police clearance from present Iraq. However after sending your documents to VO, you can keep trying for Police clearance from Iraq and if you get it then send it to visa office. They would not reject your application on this account and would always give you time to deposit Police clearance.

2- they asked me to submit original hard copies of my diplomas & scientific degrees!! i have only one original copy of each, so should i submit the originals & a certified copy with translation would be enough? & if certified copy is enough from where should i get my copies certified?
>>>. You can send original certificates also if you dont need in immediate future. You can send the notarized copy. Public notary can notarize for a fee.

3- they asked ,e to provide civil status extracts?? wt do they mean by this? is my ID enough? coz i am originally from Palestinian authority & as far as i know they don't provide a civil status extracts? wt should i do if i could not get a civil status extract?
>>> Civil status is relating to your marriage status. Send marriage certificate if you are married.

4- regarding IELTS, i took an academic module, is this valid or should i reset the exam with a General module?

>>> Visa Offices accept academic version. But General Training they are looking for.  Yours is old case ( pre 26 June) so I think Academic would be fine. No body ever got rejected for submiting academic version.

Hope this helps you.

hi
notarizing  means that some one how is authorized from the government looks to the copies and compare it with the original and writes it`s true copy
Public notary --- كاتب العدل)  سواء كان عاقل الحاره او مفوض من قبل الدوله بذالك)

and he have to writes on the copy the following note
‘‘I certify that this is a true copy of the original document''

the name of the original document

the date of the certification

his or her name

his or her official position or title

his or her signature

بالتوفيق good luck

The processing of my application started on Feb. 8, 2006 at the Damascus Embassy of Canada.
My application was transferred to the Warsaw Office on April 28, 2010.
I was contacted by the Warsaw Office to update my documents (present an entirely new set of documents) on Aug. 12, 2010. I sent them my last document on Dec. 13, 2010 and am awaiting a reply. I had been given only 3 months, within which I sent all documents except for PCCs to be issued by the Indian authorities, which took a bit longer. The Embassy told me I could sent the latter whenever I obtained them. I sent them once I obtained them, which was on Dec. 13, 2010. I am an Iranian who applied from Iran and my original Canadian Embassy was Damascus. I moved to India about 1.5 years ago, which is why I had to submit Indian PCCs as well.
From what I understand from other people's posts, I should be contacted within 6 (six) months.
I there anything anybody could share with me or I could share with anybody?
