Dear All,

I am planning to make my landing at Toronto (Niagara Rainbow Bridge) in December. Enroute as part of a tour, I will then be returning to Singapore and permanently settle in Canada 1 year later.

I understand that I will have my PR Card processed as part of the landing procedure.

However I recall reading about people applying for SIN Card, SS Card. What are they?

May I know what are the differences between these cards? And in my case, may I assume that I only need to apply for the PR Card at this point?

Thanks in advance!

SIN card is Social Insurance Number card: you apply for this as any Service Canada location in order to get a Social insurance number, you need that to get a job.

I don't know what a SS card is. Could this refer to a U.S. Social Security card? You can't get one of these unless you are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
