It's a good news for the old applicants. Because since 5-6 years peoples are waiting for the calls, finally I hope something may happend in the coming months.

Its good and bad news at the same time. good for old applicants. bad for new. 1 thousand applications in one NOC means only a few applications per visa office.
many questions need to be answered.
are there 1000 applicants will be the first ones to apply in an NOC.
if they will prefer ones with more points then they shall have to wait a year for all applications in a year.

The situation will clear in next few days

Dear all,
After new immigration plan on 26 june 2010, it is decided that only 20000 new applicants will be processed each year and immigration department will focus on applicants in backlog specifically who applied before march 27 2008.

Im an old applicant, my wife and I submitted our application in april2006, now my job is on the 29 list. We are now planning on pulling out our application and re apply with me as the principal. Is this a wise decision? I would like to hear from you guys. Thanks in advance.

yes, except that you dont need to first of all withdraw your previous application and then submit a new application. you can submit a new application even without withdrawing your previous application. later on you can go on with the one that gets you medical request first and withdraw the other one. hope this helps.

What if I send an enquiry mail to delhi highcommissoin to know how much time it will still take for the processing of my application? Will the high commission penalize me for doing the enquiry and my processing will further delayed? This is what I heard as a rumor. is this right?
