Well, the Conservatives have changed the system with lower processing times recently, liberals were the one running the old system. So, there not much for joy

Unless u know the policies of the next government, it is difficult to predict the effect on applicants. The existing system might just be better!

I have reason not to believe neither the current system nor the backlog will have any rapid impact from the ensuing election or change in government .... we might rather expect new policies ... new survey and new implementation target to propose and by this time much of our time will fly away in dark........unproductive for us.... Already heard that in anticipation of change of Govt.... some months have already eat out as for last few months issuance of MR, PPR and visa all been so slow and scanty!!! But anyway we can bind our hopes once again as that's all comes under our own control!!!!

For old applicants in the pre fab 2008 system, present govt were giving bad news and it was going on in the next proposed survey also which is supposed to be scrapped with the announcment of elections. But one thing is clear that God has acted through the act and unity of opposition parties to dislodge the govt which was commiting atrocities on the people who applied 7 years back by dumping their cases.what wrong has done these people to present govt that we were dumped? Any how good sense has pervails and Opposition parties has realy done a commendable job and beleave me they have done it under the influence of Great God. GOD IS GREAT WHO HAVE SAVED THE CANADA'S ROYAL IMAGE WHICH WAS BEING ERODED IN THE MINDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WAITING FOR PR SINCE LAST SEVEN YEARS.

I think that you will not see a change for the better, the same government is likely to return.
This is the current state of Canadian politics.
