We have been waiting for 19 months now, and still no news about our PR application. It's driving us mad. We have been thinking about the following scenario:

- Go to Canada on a tourist visa of 6 months;
- Find a job; since my husband is in IT he does not need an LMO;
- When we have a job, we can wait till the PR application gets through.

Any experiences on this? We are lucky to bring some money with us, but if we can't find a job, we won't have enough funds for our PR application...

1.  If he finds a job, he would have to leave Canada to obtain his work permit, either at the Border or an overseas office.  The job must fit within the 7 categories of the exemption for IT workers.

You mean his resume? He has .net experience and now works as a designer (2 years).
Problem with looking for a job from overseas is that companies are not willing to reply...
