Given Names

Guys, one last minute question before i send out my application today. My spouse name is "Tahmina Akter Ratna". Now, we need to provide only Last name and Given Name in the application. I was thinking to put Last Name = Ratna and First name = Tahmina. But one of my friend who has similar situation says that, Given name should be  = Tahmina Akter. I was thinking Akter as middle name. But there is now way to put middle name in the application.

My friend is telling me that its cruical that i put both Given and middle name at Given name as there is no middle name. I have checked my previous US visit visa in which i see they do exactly follow the method as my friend suggested.

Seniors, please help me to finalize my application. I am confused!!

What your friend has suggested is right given name will be Tahmina Akter and surname Ratna because there is no where they have mentioned about the middle name so first name and middle name will be in the First given name and last name in the surname.

follow the same as per the passport

as normaly in passport also there isn't any field of middle name.

Follow the name written in the Passport. Do not follow any other thoughts.
Once you open the Passport biodate page, you will see:

Family Name:
Given Name:

Just copy exactly like this. Most likely it will be "Tahmina Akter" & "Ratna" respectively.... but do check.

My wife doesn't have any family name, so in the passport , the family name was mentioned as " - " , so we wrote "N/A" in front of family Name field in the application form.
