Would she still be considered a tourist at for that time? In other words, cant work or study here? Also, marriage is a big step, but from what I'm hearing its the only way she could stay here?

Thanks!

Have you considered applying for a working holiday visa? if she's eligible for that. If she's between 18-35 she might be able to come through that way. my boyfriend and i are in the same situation and i've basically lived a whole year almost in Canada travelling back and forth to europe. I finally applied for this visa and travelled to Canada to visit while it was processing and it only took 4 weeks and then go to the states and back to activate it.

go check: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/poland-pologne/experience_canada_experience/index.aspx?view=d

Hey, thanks for the tip. Never knew of this. Question: I was looking through the necessary forms, and was wondering what did you select under 'What type of permit are you applying for?'. Also, as I understand it not necessary to have an employer ready to take you in at the time when you submit the papers, yet there is a field for that.. did you have employment pre-arranged when you were applying?
