To anyone who might know any information about this topic.
My girlfriend came to visit over the christmas holidays from the 20th of dec. to jan 29th of this year. We are trying to figure out
the circumstances if she were to maximize her stay in canada for the full 6 months. How long does she have to leave Canada for before she can re-enter Canada again for another 6 months. she's already will be here for 1 1/2 months since she's been in canada. i take it she's got the remaining time (4.5 months) left to come back to canada to stay. Also when will her time frame reset so she can get another 6 months?
Later on, we'll be applying for a permanent residence card probably later this year or next. any information will be greatly appreciated.
i'm a canadian citizen and she's japanese citizen. if that helps out....

Hi,
She can apply for an extension of another 6 months while in Canada. She needs to submit her application for extension before the expiration of her allowed stay. BTW, in what category is she applying for permanent residency?
