Hi,

I'm from a visa-exempt country and my husband will list me as accompanying spouse in his study permit application.

But I plan to join him couple months after he goes to Montreal to study at a cegep.

My question is:

1. what document should I bring to prove that I am a spouse of a student with a valid study permit at a port of entry?
2. Can I apply for open work permit at the port of entry? If so, what is processing fee? Or is it better to just enter and apply for work permit at a later time? Is the fee same?

Thank you so much for your answers!

1.  Proof of the marriage, copy of the spouse study permit.
2.  Yes you can apply for SOWP at the POE, cost $150
