Dear Friends.

Recently I have got my PP stamped with PR visa and its due to expire on July 31st. My PP is still valid till 2015. But I have ran out of pages for new visas. I recently applied for UK visit visa and PP was returned since I am out of pages. Now I must get a new PP before landing at Canada. I need to travel Uk before I go to Canada.

My COPR also has mention of my current PP. My question is that, if I have the current PP with me along with my new MRP while entering canada - will that be an issue?

Looks like I must get a new PP anyway. But assurance from your end would give some releif.

Thanks,

Aakash

Guys, two different opinion. I am confused now. I have asked some people who are friends, and they are strongly saying even though current pp will be invalid for travel; but the visas will be always valid until their maturity. I have USA visa on this PP as well. I have talked with US consulate and they have assured me. But CHC here is not ready to floor any questions from anyone !!! They just say to look at website.

Experts, please advise!!

You can get a new PP. That should not be a problem. If you are a frequent traveler, you will always have this challenge of running out of page. just ensure you have a valid PP at all times. have  you come across this abbreviation before VIOP?  It means Visa in other Passport. You can have your visa in expired passport but you must hold a current passport. Good luck!!!!!!!! Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Yes.   If visa is valid then it not make any diffrance about it having in old passport .
Immigration officer will check your old passpost and stamp new one mentoning - VIOP - visa in old passport
