Dears,

I have a question about how can i get my spouse to canada
i have a PR and i already landed in Quebec
I have a house there, and due to my studies, i had to come back finish my master degree
i am now out of quebec, and i got engaged....
i need to apply for my fiancee and go back to canada together next summer
what are the procedures and how can i apply for her outside of canada
and if i had to go apply from inside canada can i leave canada till the PR for my spouse is ready?

I appreciate quick answer

In order to sponsor your spouse you need to:

1. Be married or have lived together as a couple for 12 months

and

2. Be living in Canada yourself

There is a class for conjugal partners but that is mainly for people who have good reasons why it is impossible for them to qualify by living together for 12 months or getting married.

Canadian citizens can sponsor even though they are not living in Canada.  That is not an option for PR's.  If you send in for sponsorship while you are not living in Canada and they find out about it, they will refuse your application.

Thanks Leon,

I wonder though if it is possible to apply a visitor visa for her and once we enter canada i apply for sponsorship
in this case will she get a visitor visa or she will be considered married and they wont issue a visitor visa for her?
will it be considered illegal to get her on a visitor visa and once we enter quebec to apply for her as spouse?

You can apply for a visitor visa for her but it may be hard to get one as she might be seen as likely to overstay.  If you do get a visit visa for her, it is not illegal to apply for sponsorship once she gets to Canada.
