Getting married during my PR application process

Hi this is my first post. I'm so overwhelmed with the population number of this forum and I think this is the best place to ask for an advice regarding my dilemma. I applied as a Quebec Selected Skilled worker. I think I am 90% done with my processing as I have already obtained my CSQ, submitted my security and medical exams. Recently, I checked the status of my application on CIC's website and they have already my medical results. I believe I will just be waiting for their signal to submit the rest of my requirements like my passport, etc. Me and my girlfriend for 5 years once decided to get married after I land Canada (I was ignorant about the facts then) Everything was fine until I've learned from a friend that I cannot sponsor my future wife until after my first year of residency and not to mention the waiting time for her visa to be granted as my dependent (great 2 long years or even more). She's currently in the UK and will be coming back next month. I have just done my medical exams last April. We are planning to get married as soon as she gets back as I have learned that I can include her in my application as long as I do not land yet in Canada after receiving my landing papers. Do you think it will be more complicated to do this? How many more months will it delay my application (My application took 12 months before I was told to undergo medical exams). Is there a risk involved here? What are they? 6 months extension is better than 2 years, isn't it? I just could not leave my future wife for that long when I know that we can land together. Let me hear your thoughts. Thank you very much.. I apologize for a very long introduction.
