I am in the process of applying for Skilled Worker Permanent Residency, and have found an employer to sponsor me.

I was wondering how long I need to work for the employer who has hired me?  Once the Residency Card arrives am I essentially free to find another job if the one I got doesn't work out for me (like, I hate it) or does that pose a problem?  What if they fire me after I get the card?

You are free to do whatever you want once you get your PR card (fired, quit, part time, full time)

If you are outside Canada and getting an AEO to get your PR, you don't even have to start working for this company.  You land as a PR and can right away go and look for other jobs.

If you are in Canada and working for this company on a temporary work permit and they are giving you a job offer to help you apply for FSW under category 2, since your application is based on this arranged employment, I would imagine you have to stay with them until you have landed as a PR.  If you are already in Canada for a year and applying under category 3, then it doesn't matter.
