My family and I are all british and we put in our migration paperwork some 8 months ago.  My wife is a fully qualified hairstylist/barber with 20 years experiance, I am just leaving the Royal Air Force Police after serving 22 years.  I was a Counter Intelligence/Security Specialist.  I have looked on some sites and it would appear that if we had firm job offers we may get our application processed faster; I have noted from CIC that the average waiting time for UK is between 40 - 50 months.
My question is two fold:  Will canadian employers risk offering employment to a uk citizen prior to their arrival?
How do we get job offers?  I have look on WorkoPolis/Monster with not much luck.
P.S.  We are considering settling in the Niagera region of Ontario.  Any assistance would be appriciated

Hi there, Try Halton Police I know they have got people in from UK before bypassing the usual immigration process. (but only people with 10+ years of experience, which you obviously have) Good luck!

Thank you for that.  However, i must admit after 22 years as a Policeman I am not too keen on returning to than + I am a protective security specialist so I have not done Policework for some time.
