My spouse was in Canada on a working visa from august 31 2008-august 30 2009(1 year), than applied for a visitor visa to stay an additional 6 months. We applied for the visitor visa sometime in July 2009 and the visitor visa was accepted then given to us and valid for November-February 2010. My spouse left Canada on December 27 2009.

In the Generic Application form question #12, for countries resided for more than 6 months, there are 2 boxes available to fill. In one, we put working visa from august 31 2008-august 30 2009. But from august 31 we didn't receive the notice of the visitor visa until November. It's legal because we applied before my spouse's working visa expired, so my question is..

What should we write in the second box for the time of august 31 2009-December 27?

Since your spouse lived in Canada continously, how about you write everything into 1 box, aug 08 - dec 09, and select status 'other'. Then in the space for other info you write your spouse was first on a work visa, later as a visitor. I think that is what I would do Smiley
