General Query on Address Update process

Hi,
How do we report an address change to the consulate?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/change-address.asp   (this is what I found out...but how do we report a change? By sending mail?)

I am sending out updated forms and documents due to change in marital status. Do you think it is a good idea to update address change right away in the forms or should I just write a letter saying my address has changed? Also, do I need to provide a address change proof?

Hi paulh,

As the link says,if u r in Canada u can notify the CIC thru online service or CIC call centre.

If u r outside Canada, contact the respective VO where u have submitted ur application.

now, as u r sending updated forms, u can update the new address right away in the forms and include a letter saying that there is a change in your mailing address and u have updated the same in the application forms and ask them to make a note of it and use this updated address for future communications.
