Hello,

Immigration authority conduct background checks with present and past employer for credibility of the information provided in the application.

What kind of informations are required by the Visa Officer while conducting a background check with present employer of the applicant? How they conduct the background check? Do they reveal the applicant's purpose of immigration to canada to the employer?

I am working with government organisation and one need to inform about such move to the concern department. If I do so I need to resign form the job. And if I donot inform, I can apply for the  leave for 3-4 months, and if migration is suitable I can contiune in Canada or else I can return back and resume old job.

Regards,
HJ

I have the same problem, I am considered an expat foreigner here in my present company and if they get a whif that I am migrating to another country or going back to my own country, they would do drastic measures to keep me here. So I'm really concerned on how the Visa office is going to handle background checks with my present company. Any ideas anyone? Hope you can help me...
