Hi roxiereign

it depends of how many people did you apply for:

The required settlement funds must be equal to or greater than the sums listed below for each family size.
Number of family members   Funds required
1   10,168
2   12.659
3   15,563
4   18,895
5   21,431
6   24,170
7 or more   26,910

Good luck
Eduardo

I'm just started out in this, but are you saying in order to become a PR in Canada I have to pay $10,168?

My hubby and I are planning on immigrating, but with the exchange rate the funds are quite steep. Do we have to have proof of funds when we put in our application or can we show proof of funds when they actually handle our application? We were told it could take up to three years before they would process our application. Our funds work out to R84000, which is a lot of money here. That's fine in 3 years time, but we don't want to wait any longer to put in our application.

Hi Southafrican,
You will need to show proof of fund when CIC is actually working on your application.
Thanks

HI

Hi Southafrican,
You will need to show proof of fund when CIC is actually working on your application.
Thanks
Cool

1.  Actually you need the funds when you apply, SAP states that you must meet the criteria at application.
2.  CHC will probably request 3-6 months of bank statements when they finally open the application.
3.  You will need proof of funds when you "land"
