Condition 1 for thr Federal Skilled Worker eligibility states
"•You must have at least one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment "

I have 3 years full time work experience as a Financial Auditor (NOC 1111), however I was designated as a Trainee and was only paid a very small monthly allowance (i.e. below minimum wage). Would this affect my eligibility?

Sure it would, you were a "trainee" not a full fledged auditor.

So would I be correct to say that even though I have performed the main duties of an auditor, and posess the reference letters to attest this, I would be penalised by the fact that I was a Trainee?

I am also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). Which is the British equivalent to CMA...Would this help my case in any way?

thanks
